The Chisholm Trail Swim and Dive Team is in the 3rd season of competition which began September 27 against our rival, Granbury. The girls came out in a 1st place lead and the boys in a close 2nd. Top finishes came from Jax Pounds, Alex Lira, Jason Dunham, Aaron Roper, Aldo Espinosa, Jacob Remmel, Jacob Dunham, Abbigail Pace, Jessica Walters. Taelor Shelton, Samantha Blackwell, Taylor Boyer, and Georgina Aurellio. Last year at District, the boys won 2nd place while the girls held 3rd place for the 2nd year in a row. Each year CTHS swimmers have advanced out of the District meet to Regionals, with this past year having 2 swimmers and 2 relays make it to the finals in a total of 6 events. Diver, Carmen Johnston came in 3rd place, missing state competition by only one place.  The swim team has 38 swimmers and 1 diver with 5 seniors, 12 juniors, 10 sophomores, and 11 freshman. The team is led by Coach Amy Anderson, who came to CTHS when the school opened in 2012 from Abilene, TX after coaching with a club and high school team for 4 years. Coach Anderson has been voted as Girls' team coach of the year at District meets for the past 3 years. This year, the CTHS Swim and Dive team hopes to finish again in the top 3 at district and take more swimmers to the finals competition at Regionals. Their next meet is in Duncanville on October 25.
