The Lady Rangers Win Over Boswell With One Run Advantage

Softball - Fri, Apr. 21, 2017

The Lady Rangers won a huge district game Tuesday, April 18, 2017 over sister-school, Boswell. The scoring started in the bottom of the 2nd with a leadoff single by, Tatum Trester. Kaitlyn Dunn followed with an infield hit and Sydney King came on to run for her. After a ground out put runners at 1st and 3rd, a stolen base to put them at 2nd and 3rd and a flyout, Alysia Mcafee hit a fly ball that was mishandled by the Boswell outfield for two runs.

The Lady Rangers were able to tack on another the next inning when Lexi White led the inning off with a hit, followed by a fielders choice but then an RBI double by Trester to make it 3-0. Boswell wouldn't just let them have it though as they came back and scored 2 in the fourth on two hits and a hit by pitch. Kylie Summers made a nice double play on a line drive that doubled a runner off first to escape further damage and preserve the lead. That is all the Lady Rangers needed as they held on to win with a final score of, 3-2.
