The Chisholm Trail Rangers hosted the Everman Bulldogs Tuesday, December 12, 2017. It was a complete team effort by the Rangers against a very athletic and tough Everman squad. Chisholm Trail fell behind early to Everman 13-11, as the Rangers could not get the shots to drop in the first quarter. Foul trouble also plagued Chisholm Trail, but the Ranger bench stepped up and made the plays needed to keep them in the game. Despite not being able to knock down shots, the Rangers played with enough toughness and grit to only find themselves down two at the half, with Everman leading 21-19. It was only a matter of time before the shots began to drop and a strong offensive third quarter allowed the Rangers to take a 36-29 lead into the fourth quarter.
In the fourth, Chisholm Trail mixed it up defensively against the Bulldogs and played with great efficiency on the offensive end to take a double digit lead late in the game. The Rangers were able to burn some clock, forcing the Bulldogs to put Chisholm Trail on the foul line. The Rangers made their free throws to put the game away, as an Everman half court buzzer beater made the final score closer than it looked. Chisholm Trail came away with a 52-46 victory, increasing their win record to 9-4 on the season.
